The MFP (Master Food Preserver) Online Program will be held the second Monday of the month, 6 to 7 p.m., online via Zoom.
Participation is free and open to anyone interested in learning about freezing, dehydrating, canning, and food safety. Volunteers will be available to answer your questions and share tips to safely and successfully preserve food at home.
Theme: Pumpkin Party: Preserve Fall’s Favorite Squash Safely!
The Fall Garden to Table Workshop Series will be held Wednesdays, October 15 - 22, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., El Zocalo Event Center, 264 South Camino Del Pueblo.
Join us as we learn to grow, prepare, and preserve garlic. Free plant starts, food samples, and delicious recipes provided! This three-day series is free and open to the public. Online registration available!
The Composting Basics workshop will be held Nov. 6, 1 p.m., Bernalillo Community Museum, 118 Calle Malinche.
Join John Zarola, Bernalillo Master Composters, to learn about composting and setting up a worm bin for vermicompost. Event is free and open to the public.
The 4-H | Adult Retreat will be held Nov. 8, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Bernalillo County Extension Office 1510 Menaul Blvd NW.
The retreat is a great opportunity for 4-H volunteer leaders, parents, and agents to learn and network. Online registration available! Fee is $40 by Oct. 15; payable with a credit card or check. Deadline: Oct. 31
