The Teaching Garden is open for guided tours, Monday - Sunday, sunrise to sunset, Fabian Garcia Science Center, 113 West University Avenue.
Visitors may take a self-guided tour through the quarter-acre garden. Or guided tours are available by making a reservation. Tours are free, thanks to a generous contribution from the garden’s namesake, Amy Goldman-Fowler.

The Diabetes Prevention Program will be held Wednesdays, Aug. 20 - Sep. 17, 11:30 a.m., online via Zoom.
The program will help decrease the risk of type 2 diabetes by leading a healthy lifestyle. It is free and open to NMSU employees; participants must be 18 years of age or older. Insurance not required. Class is designed for people with prediabetes or those who have not been diagnosed with type 1 or type 2 diabetes.

The Pre-Diabetes GLP-1 Classes will be held Wednesdays, Aug. 20 - Feb. 25, 9 to 10 a.m.

The yearlong lifestyle-change program will help you decrease your risk for type 2 diabetes and maintain weight loss.
